The Department of Life Sciences of the University of Coimbra (Portugal) & the IMAR-CMA, Institute of Marine Sciences, announce an intensive course in two topics related with quality of freshwaters. The course is open to M.Sc. / Ph.D. students as well as Pos-Docs and young scientists initiating their research in aquatic ecology. The course has a total duration of 50 hours and the language will be the English.

Data treatment and interpretation.
Module 2: New perspectives for freshwater ecosystems:  predictive models and functional assessment, bioassessment under climate change and extreme events, rehabilitation and ecological flows
Alternative methods for streams ecological assessment. Ecological flows. Climate change and implications in bioassessment systems. River Rehabilitation and management of artificial water bodies.
Course fee:
200 EUROS each module - accommodation not included;
Registration deadline:
January, 31st
